| In the good old days of Rail Travel, the East of England benefited greatly by being connected to the big cities by an integrated network of small railway lines. The LNER (London North Eastern Railway could not use its heavy Express Trains on the Rural lines, opting instead for the more light weight engines and coach combinations designed for such lines.
These much smaller trains used older rolling stock and would offer a frequent stopping service as the ferried passengers from village to village and town to town. The Oval track circuit and siding supplied with this excellent Hornby Train Set can be easily expanded with the addition of Hornby Track and Building Packs. Midi TrakMat included.
